Creating an Events page
Before considering the creation of an Event page, please first check that an Event page dedicated to that Event does not already exist. An Event can be created by any member free of charge. The creator of the Event automatically becomes the moderator of that Event and has the responsibility to ensure that the Event page is running smoothly and that everyone is sticking to the Rules and Regulations set out at the bottom of this page. Please see our FAQs for detailed information on how to create an Event.
Moderating your Event page
The moderator of the Event page can choose from three privacy setting upon creation; Open Access (anyone can join), Moderated Access (your request will be reviewed by the moderator), or Invitation Only (you must be invited by the moderator to join this Event). The setting of the page can be changed at any time by the moderator. Please see the Rules and Regulations at the bottom of this page for more information on the moderator's responsibilities.
Reporting Members
If a member of an Event page is misusing the page, the other members can report the post(s) which violate the guidelines to the moderator by clicking 'report' on the post itself. The moderator will receive a message and should then delete the offending post and contact the member with a warning if they believe that this is necessary. If the member continues to misuse the page, the moderator will delete them from the page if they believe that this is appropriate. If the member is subsequently not deleted from the page and there is reason to believe that they should have been, other members should send a private message to the moderator saying why they believe the post and/or the member should be deleted. If the moderator still fails to take action the member can visit the perpetrator's profile and click 'report'. This type of report goes straight to The Rabbit Den admin team, NOT to the moderator of the Event page and is confidential. The Rabbit Den admin team with then deal with the situation in which ever way they see fit.
Reporting a Moderator
If an Event page is not being moderated as it should be, members of the page can report the current moderator by visiting the moderators profile and clicking on 'report'. This type of report goes straight to The Rabbit Den admin team and is confidential. If the page continues to be neglected or mismanaged and the moderator receives a high number of reports, he/she will be removed from the page.
Joining Open Events
To join an open Event simply click 'join' next to the Event avatar. You will now have instant access to the Event page's content and participate in discussions.
Joining Moderated Events
To join a moderated Event page click 'join'. If the moderator accepts your invitation you will be notified by email, and will have access to the Event’s features and be able to participate in discussions.
Inviting People to your Event (by invitation only Events)
The moderator of an invitation only Event can invite people to join by emailing them with an invite. Once they have been invited and have accepted the invite, they will be able to see the Event page's content and participate. Users can not apply to become a member of an invitation only Event.
Posting comments to Event pages
Once a member has been invited to or has joined an Event page, they may post comments to the Event's activity wall. Please see the Rules and Regulations at the bottom of this page for more information on member's responsibilities.
Leaving an Event
If a member wishes to leave an Event page, they can click 'leave this event'. All posts will remain when a user’s membership of the page is deleted.
Deleting a post to an Event Page
If a member is breaking the Rules and Regulations below, the moderator of the Event page has the right to delete the offending post(s).
Deleting an Event
The Event page can be deleted only by the moderator of that page.
Freedom of speech
Here at The Rabbit Den we want you to feel that you are able to create posts and comments with freedom. Moderators should not be deleting posts and members just because they are expressing an opinion that is controversial, or which differs from that of other members of the Event. If this is found to be taking place, the moderator will be removed from their post by the The Rabbit Den admin team. A member's post or the member themselves should however, be removed if they break the Rules and Regulations outlined below.

Rules and Regulation for Events:
Here at The Rabbit Den we want everyone to feel that they are free to create and/or advertise Events covering a multitude of topics and interests. There are, however, some Rules and Regulations which must be adhered to in order that everyone will get the most out of our Event page feature. Please note that these Rules and Regulations are subject to change at any time without warning, and The Rabbit Den Admin Team reserve the right to remove any moderator, member or Event page from the website at any time, for any reason.
(In the below bullet points the word 'member' is used to define moderator and members of an Event page.)
- 1. Before creating an Event page, please check whether a page for that Event is already in existence, this will limit duplication.
- 2. Discussions on an Event page should be relevant to the main topic and atmosphere of that Event.
- 3. Any advice you receive on the Event pages does not represent the opinion of The Rabbit Den and should not be taken as professional advice. Posts and comments are for informational and entertainment use only.
- 4. All posts and comments must be written in English. Any posts found to be written in any other languages must be deleted by the moderator of the Room.
- 5. Members should not post the same comment more than once, if they do it is the moderator's responsibility to remove the duplicate post.
- 6. Defamatory comments concerning others will not be tolerated and must be deleted by the Event’s moderator. If the perpetrator(s) continues to act in this manner, the moderator has the right to remove the member(s) from the Event.
- 7. Any members(s) found to be involved with slander/liable, trolling or bullying must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 8. Any member(s) found to be exhibiting threatening behaviour must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 9. Any members(s) found to be expressing racist, ageist, homophobic or sexist opinions must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 10. Any members(s) found to be discussing any illegal sexual acts, violent sexual acts or any acts of extreme violence must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 11. Any member(s) found to be posting spam to promote products, websites or services not affiliated to The Rabbit Den must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 12. Any member(s) found to be posting copyrighted material without citing the material's creator or obtaining the prior consent of the creator must be sent a warning by the moderator of the Event and the offending post(s) must be deleted. If they continue to act in this manner they will be deleted by the Event’s moderator.
- 13. The moderator has the responsibility to ensure that the Rules and Regulations are being followed at all times, and to warn and delete member(s) who are not adhering to the Rules.
- 14. Equally, members of a Room have the responsibility to ensure that their moderator is following the Rules and Regulations, and to report a moderator who is not doing so.
- 15. In order to protect hosts of Events we strongly suggest setting private Events as By Invitation Only. The Rabbit Den cannot be held responsible for the outcome of an event which is advertised through our platform.
- 16. Before an Event page is created, the creator must obtain the prior consent of the Event host, unless the Event is open to all.
- 17. If an Event page is found to be continually breaking the Rules and Regulations it will be deleted by The Rabbit Den Admin Team.

Creating Rooms
Before considering the creation of a Room, please first check that a Room dedicated to that topic does not already exist. A Room can be created by any member free of charge. The creator of the Room automatically becomes the moderator and has the responsibility to ensure that the Room is running smoothly, everyone is sticking to the rules and staying on subject (see Rules and Regulations below). Please see our FAQs for detailed information on how to create a Room.
Moderating Rooms
The moderator can choose from three privacy setting for the Room upon creation; Open Access (anyone can join), Moderated Access, or Invitation Only (you must be invited by the moderator to join). The setting of the Room can be changed at any time by the moderator. Moderators are encourages to start new conversations within the room and to keep the flow of the conversations moving forward by posting relevant and thought-provoking content. Please see the Rules and Regulations at the bottom of this page for more information on the moderator's responsibilities.
Reporting Members
If a member of a Room is misusing the Room, the other members can report the post(s) which violate the guidelines to the moderator by clicking 'report' on the post itself. The moderator will then receive a message in their Rabbit Den inbox and should then delete the offending post and contact the member with a warning if they believe that this is necessary. If the member continues to misuse the Room, the moderator will delete them from the Room if they believe that this is appropriate. If the member is subsequently not deleted from the Room and there is reason to believe that they should have been, other members should send a private message to the moderator saying why they believe the post and/or the member should be deleted. If the moderator still fails to take action the member can visit the perpetrator's profile and click 'report'. This type of report goes straight to The Rabbit Den admin team, NOT to the moderator of the Room and is confidential. The Rabbit Den admin team with then deal with the situation in which ever way they see fit.
Reporting a Moderator
If a Room is not being moderated as it should be, members of the Room can report the current moderator by visiting the moderators profile and clicking on 'report'. This type of report goes straight to The Rabbit Den admin team and is confidential. If the Room continues to be neglected or mismanaged and the moderator receives a high number of reports, he/she will be removed from the Room.
Joining Open Rooms
To join an open Room simply click 'join' next to the Room avatar. You will now have instant access to the Room's content and participate.
Joining Moderated Rooms
To join a moderated Room click 'join'. If the moderator accepts your invitation you will be notified by email, and will have access to the Room's features and be able to participate.
Inviting Members to join your Room (by invitation only Rooms)
The moderator of an invitation only Room can invite people to join by emailing them with an invite. Once they have been invited and have accepted the invite, they will be able to see the Room's content and participate. Users can not apply to become a member of an invitation only Room.
Posting to Rooms
Once a member has been invited to or has joined a Room, they may post comments to the Room's discussion wall. Please see the Rules and Regulations at the bottom of the page for more information on member's responsibilities.
Leaving a Room
If a member wishes to leave a Room, they can click 'leave this room'. All posts will remain when a user’s membership of a Room is closed
Deleting a post to a Room
If a member is breaking the Rules and Regulations below, the moderator of the Room has the right to delete the offending post(s).

Rooms can be deleted only by the moderator of that Room.

We want them to be a lively place where the conversation is flowing and people are connecting over topics which they feel passionate about! There are, however, some Rules and Regulations which must be adhered to in order that everyone will get the most out of our Rooms feature. Please note that these Rules and Regulations are subject to change at any time without warning, and The Rabbit Den Admin Team reserve the right to remove any moderator/admin/member from a Room at any time, for any reason.
